Overview

What is the NDAA?

In 2019, the U.S. Congress passed the H.R.5515 – John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2019. This legislation includes provisions that restrict the use, procurement, or sale of certain brands of surveillance equipment by federal agencies.

Under the NDAA, not only are federal agencies prohibited from purchasing equipment from these blacklisted brands, but they are also barred from working with contractors who use surveillance technology sourced from these banned vendors.

TAC Compliance

TAC products are fully compliant with the NDAA.
TAC cameras and network video recorders (NVRs) are designed and manufactured without the use of critical components or System-on-a-Chip (SoC) circuits from vendors banned under the NDAA. This ensures that all TAC surveillance equipment meets the compliance standards required by the legislation, making them a secure and approved choice for government and federal use.
